Hand Of God

While en route to Hatteras Island, along the Outer Banks, I noticed frequent lightening moving up the coast. Still ten miles from the lighthouse, I decided to pull into a beach access road to witness the light show. The rain hadn’t began yet, so I set up my tripod. I had never been to Hatteras and wasn’t sure how close I was.

In this beautiful thirty-second exposure from our “Landscape Gallery”, lightening illuminates storm clouds w/light from the distant lighthouse helping to even out the composition.
