The only access to the coastal village of Corolla is with a four wheel drive vehicle, along the beach. When I first started shooting, I didn’t own a four wheel drive so I only had three options: rent a vehicle, walk, or rent a kayak. I opted for the kayak! Unfortunately, I had to paddle fifteen miles along the sound to get there, then another fifteen, against the tide, back! I wouldn’t advise this for most tourists, and I’ll never do it again. Nevertheless, I made the journey, and spent the rest of the day trying to capture some images.
Not having much luck w/the wild mustangs, I managed to capture this image, which which can be found in our “Panorama Gallery”.
